Support Contracts

Hourly Support

Does your company policy dictate that you do not purchase support contracts from your suppliers? or do you wish to pay on a case by case basis? Edge Digital, LLC has a time and materials plan that can provide you with hourly support. Our people will solve your problem and bill you just for the time that was used. Applescript

Automation and Consistency are keys to efficiency. Applescript is a valuable tool to performing tasks in a snap. It is possible that repetitive operations in your workflow could be improved. These scripts could be run by clicking on a file or by moving files into a hot folder.

Training Program

Your profits are tied to production. Your staff will be most productive if they know how best to get the job done. Network Evaluation and Design

As a network grows beyond two systems, variables that effect performance creep in. We can help get the optimal performance out of your network. We can design a network from the ground up or update an existing one.

File Maker Pro

We have experience with creation and alteration of existing File Maker Pro databases. We can create a database for prepress or administrative purposes within your organization. If you need your File Maker Pro database to export data to another software package or import data from another software package we can help you.

Website Continuity

Have you, a third party, or a group of parties created a web site? Do you need a third party to give your website a check over for continuity in detail. Such as configurations, part numbers, cost , descriptions, and product images. We have a technical background that may provide you with information your web designer may think is correct.

Site Analysis

Does your company need an evaluation of equipment? Do you want to learn of upgrades, replacement products, suggestions etc. We can provide you with a report and give recommendations on what actions you may need to take. You can use this as a shopping list of things you may need to purchase.

Instruction Documentation

We can create a user or a service manual for operations, products, or procedures. Edge will get into and understand your product with one of your representatives. After we have a concept of what needs to be documented, the manual will be created paying very close attention to technical accuracy, and a step by step approach to what the reader needs to accomplish.

Wedge

Wedge is the service contract support side of Edge. If you have a service support contract with us or with one of our corporate clients you can find information relevant to you. You will be able to see your open and closed issues, top 10 lists, update tips and other things. Website Administration

Do you have a web site that needs to be administered? We can help you to find a location to host it. We don't design web sites but we do know professional designers who can do that for you. We can locate whatever you need to reach your web based goals, from small business web sites to large international web networks.

Upgrade Hardware and Software

Do you feel your shop has fallen behind the times. Are still using a Macintosh G3 or a Pentium II as a file server. Let us make an inventory of your hardware and software and inform you of new software versions available, as well as new hardware that has replaced the current hardware you have. We will make a recommendation to you and give you the benefits of the upgrade. We will also inform you of how you may be able to repurpose your outdated hardware.

Repurpose of expiring equipment

Do you have a lot of computer or prepress equipment that is using space and is not being utilized any longer? Or are you upgrading your existing equipment. We can assist you with gaining the space back. We can check out the equipment to make sure it works, fix it if required, and make sure all the data is thoroughly erased from the hard drive drive. At that point we can create a fair market price so it can be sold back to employees of you company. Or it cold be sold to other companies of your choice or we could locate one for you. If the equipment requires that it be destroyed, that option could be used as well.

Manufacturer Support

Are you a manufacturer of a hardware or software product? Do you need a group of skilled support people? Edge Digital, LLC works closely with manufacturers to provide the clients of the manufacturer with a support structure for training, troubleshooting and installation either on-site or by phone support. Research and development is also possible.

Reseller Support

Edge Digital, LLC works closely with resellers who are not strong in technical support, or do not wish to provide support after the point of sale, or do not want the overhead of trained certified individuals. Edge can pick up the ball and integrate, troubleshoot, and train on products you sell. Client reseller relations are respected if the client needs to purchase additional hardware and software that is referred to the reseller. Are you a reseller needing a group of technically savvy people to support your hardware and software sales? We are versed in a wide range of products.

Hardware and Software Record

Are you confused with all the software that your company has and don't know what systems has what and what versions you have where. Edge can solve this mystery. Inspect all your workstations recording programs, version numbers and serial numbers. Sort through all of your software manuals and boxes to find which program is installed where marking the boxes accordingly. After all the evidence is gathered we will organize it in a File Maker Pro database custom to your site. That you can use on your Windows or Macintosh. If we find no evidence of File Maker Pro we can get that software for you to.

Workflow Examination

Do you want an unbiased opinion of your workflow environment? Edge virtually sells no workflow products at all so we don't care what you get. We can recommend ways you can improve your workflow. Edge people have worked in over 100 prepress related shops installing configuring servers, rips, workstations, plotters, imagesetters and software.

Backup and Archive

Are you prepared if you have a catastrophic failure and loose your data. Many things can happen, if you are prepared the situation can be less stressful. Let Edge Digital, LLC evaluate your present backup and archive method. Whether you are using SGL FlashNet, Legato Networker or Veritas backup Exec. We have setup clients so that they backup several times a day allowing for recovery of files due to corruption or to recover that accidentally deleted file. In the event that all data is lost you will know what to do in advance to bring it back.
